Spring is finally here, which means there are many fun spring things to do in Sunset Beach and the surrounding area. Spring brings the beautiful fresh scents of trees and flowers in bloom, fantastic events and holidays, and a lot of ways to enjoy your beach vacation rental with the newness of the year. There is always something to do with markets and celebrations for everyone to enjoy.

In 1963, Sunset Beach was incorporated as a town, and this year marks its 60th anniversary! The city is celebrating on March 25, 2023, with a day's worth of activities for everyone to enjoy. Activities will be on Saturday between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm at Sunset Beach Town Park.

There will be a wine and beer garden, the Classic Car Show, live music, cornhole tournaments, and more. And if you've always wanted to get up close to police cars and fire trucks, you can join the Touch-a-Truck at 12:30 pm. Throughout the year, Pure Market puts together artisan and farmer's markets where vendors selling handmade items like jewelry, pottery, home décor, and art come together to sell their goods and enjoy the day. 

There are also homegrown produce, vegetables, and homemade goods. Check them out in Ocean Isle Beach for their Spring Market on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at 5 West 3rd Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.

Calling all foodies for this delicious event! The "Seafood Capital of the World" is having a festival where you can don a wristband, grab your passport to all the participating restaurants, and taste samples from some of the best seafood dishes you'll ever try. 

There will be arts and crafts vendors, live music with DJ "Joe Cool," and a lot of fun. Bring your whole family on April 22, 2023, to the Calabash Community Park at 11:00 am for the Taste of Calabash!

One Love Market hosts an artisan and farmer's pop-up market on Sunset Beach. This fun event brings artists from as far north as Wilmington and as far south as Myrtle beach! Enjoy live music, craft tables for kids and adults, and many handmade items for sale. 

The benefits go to local rescues that help people, animals, and the environment! They are starting the spring season with a Beach Flea Market and Tag Sale on March 18, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a theme of "purge, recycle, upcycle, and repurpose. 

Then, join them every Sunday through the end of May for their Spring Sunday markets!

We love live music here, and there is plenty of it in spring! The Sea and Sand Band is a variety of rock, blues, beach, and pop music on the Sunset Beach fishing pier. 

Bring your chairs and blankets, and get ready to hang out and have a great time. The pier house will sell mouthwatering food and ice-cold beverages. Bring your family and friends and have a fantastic time with us on March 25, 2023, at 4:00 pm!
